Ganshoren, from glory to golden sixties

As a young man King Leopold II dreamed about a prestigious neighborhood in the western part of Brussels.  Beautiful Belle Epoque houses were finally build there after his death. Some old farms and even a medieval chateau survived post war urbanism. We will also tell you the story of the “Sippelberg”, from wooden windmill till National Basilica.
There’ is a lot to see “en route” to the sea.
