The Tram Parade

Wednesday 1 May
Place Royale et Rue Royale (devant le Parc)
14:00 - 16:00

On Wednesday 1st May 2019, the trams will be parading along Royale Road as of 2 PM. The big Parade of trams is unique since it includes nearly 40 trams, from the oldest to the most unusual: from the horse Tram to the Tram 3000 passing by the Tram 4000. All with a festive atmosphere. A great opportunity for us all to relive the history of Brussels tram.

Journey on the old trams :

After the parade, the tramway will return to its original route. From 4pm, young and old can board historic trams, circulating through the city via Legrand, the Sainte‑Marie church and the Bozar stop. This route is in fact the same as the circuit of the first tram line inaugurated 150 years ago to the day. And if this itinerary will still be accessible on Sunday May 05 on board of historic trams dating from the early 20th century, it will also be accessible on public holidays the rest of the year.

Where to board the shuttles: BOZAR stop

When: 1st May and Synday 5th May from 4 PM to 7 PM
